Chemical Peel

Chemical peels are not only about exfoliating dead skin cells. Depending on peel composition, concentration and substance applied, we can treat the skin in different ways.
The most frequently used preparations in medical peels are natural hydroxy acids.
Chemical peel is applied to the facial skin by a specialist; treatment duration may vary depending on the peel type and substance used; the peel type is chosen on an individual basis to suit the skin needs after a prior consultation. After a certain time of application, the peel is neutralised and soothing substances are applied.
You may feel a tingling or burning sensation during the procedure, but this usually subsides within a few minutes.
After any type of medical peel, you should expect to experience mild redness, followed by scaling that ends within three to seven days, depending on the depth of the peel.

Frequency:
Recommended in a series from 3 to 10 treatments at intervals of every 7-14 days, or as a single treatment.
